Rarog is a Ukrainian brand of body armor and military equipment, founded in 2014 by the team of the Kharkiv Plant of Personal Protective Equipment.
The plant is an official supplier to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

2014
Production of body armor for participants of the Revolution of Dignity. With the start of the ATO, production of body armor and tactical gear for the military began. Projects to armor anti-aircraft mounts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
2015
The first serial models of modular body armor were presented.
2016
Automation of tactical gear production, development of the “Khyzhak” machine-gun system and a polymer machine-gun belt. Work with government procurement began.
2017
The Plastoon modular body armor wins the trial wear test in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is set to become the new main body armor of the Ukrainian army. The National Guard Rapid Response Brigade switches to equipping fighters with modular body armor from RAROG.
2018
Bulgaria’s Special Operations Forces order body armor and tactical gear produced by RAROG. Our tactical and protective Kevlar gloves appear in the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
2019
The company wins the Sikorsky Challenge with a project for a new ammunition logistics system for Kalashnikov-system machine guns.
2020
The company becomes one of the market leaders, supplying products to most of the country’s security agencies.
2021
Launch of 2 new production facilities in the Kharkiv region and Zaporizhzhia.
2022
Forced relocation of production capacities to the Lviv region, restart and expansion of production. Participation in founding the Lviv Defense Cluster. Manufacturing and free transfer of more than 100,000 body armor vests.
2023
The Rarog group of companies expands its areas of activity. Start of strike drone production, manufacturing of 40,000 modern body armor vests, 600,000 tactical and protective gloves for the Defense Forces of Ukraine; building new production capacities.
2024
We released the coolest body armor line in Ukraine—Plastoon XM—and Rarog Exp pouches. A also brought to market the lightest ceramic armor plates in Ukraine with 6th protection class. We confirmed our leadership positions in manufacturing and supplying body armor for civilians.
2025
Launched four new body armor systems, including the L500 — the lightest Level 6 body armor in Ukraine — and Helga, the first body armor designed for women. Introduced a seven-layer apparel system and expanded into armored protection solutions for vehicles and infrastructure.
We actively help the country. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, together with business representatives and volunteers, we founded the Lviv Defense Cluster.

At the same time, the group funded the restoration of the rehabilitation department for Ukraine’s defenders at the Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed Persons.
“Children of War”,
within which, on the basis of the Kyiv Okhmatdyt hospital, a specialized Rehabilitation Center for children affected by Russian armed aggression will be created. Such a center with an inpatient department will be the first in Ukraine.

“Heroes Among Us”,
aimed at helping HR departments and teams in Ukrainian companies adapt to the return of people from the front. We fund professional support from corrective psychologists for children who lost parents in the war.
